Poultney Blue Devils (Poultney, VT) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Mill River Minutemen (North Clarendon, VT), 17-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Poultney improves its record to 5-4 on the year.
The Minutemen now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Fair Haven for a non-league game on Saturday, May 31. Mill River will play a Slaters squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Hartford (White River Junction, VT). The Slaters record now stands at 2-10.
