The Nodaway Valley Wolverines softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Mount Ayr Raiders to 9 in the Wolverines league win on Thursday.

The Wolverines now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Union for a Pride of Iowa battle on Friday, May 30. Nodaway Valley will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 8-7 league loss to Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Mount Ayr moves to 1-2 on the season. The Raiders travel to Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA) to encounter the Warhawks in a Pride of Iowa battle on Friday, May 30. The Warhawks come into the battle with a record of 2-0. Southeast Warren won 9-7 in their recent non-league battle against Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA)
