The Lancaster Red Devils baseball team (Lancaster, VA), was overwhelmed 11-7 in Tuesday's league outing with the visiting Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA)
The Trojans now hold a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rappahannock for a Northern Neck outing on Thursday, May 5. Essex will confront a Raiders team coming off a 16-0 league win over Washington & Lee (Montross, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 8-4.
Next, the Red Devils confront the Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) in a Northern Neck outing, on Thursday, May 5. Lancaster will attempt to advance on its 7-4 season record. The Drifters go into the outing with a 4-3 record after their 26-1 non-league win over Northampton (Eastville, VA).
