Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Marist Spartans (Eugene, OR) and the host Marshfield Pirates (Coos Bay, OR), saw Marist's baseball squad beat Marshfield by a margin of 5-3.
Coming up next, the Spartans play the Junction City Tigers (Junction City, OR) in a 4A Sky-Em battle, on Wednesday, May 4. Marist will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 9-5 record after their 10-1 league win over Siuslaw (Florence, OR).
The Pirates now sport a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they host Elmira for a 4A Sky-Em battle on Friday, May 6.
