Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) and the host Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), saw Smoky Mountain's baseball squad beat Tuscola by a margin of 2-0.

Coming up next, the Mustangs play the East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC) in a battle, on Thursday, May 5. Smoky Mountain will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 6-8 record after their 7-6 league win over Pisgah (Canton, NC).

The Mountaineers now sport a 1-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to T.C. Roberson for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 4.
