Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Vista del Lago Eagles (Folsom, CA), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 16-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln for a challenge on Thursday, May 5. Ponderosa will battle a Fighting Zebras squad coming off a 18-4 non-league loss to Whitney (Rocklin, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Vista del Lago falls to 19-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host El Camino (Sacramento, CA) to battle the Eagles in a challenge on Wednesday, May 4.
