The Edwardsville Tigers softball team scored 20 runs and limited the host Belleville West Maroons to 3 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Edwardsville moves its record to 18-1 on the year. The Tigers host Alton (Alton, IL) to clash with the Redbirds in a Southwestern game on Thursday, May 5. The Redbirds come into the game with a record of 8-12. Alton won 8-7 in their recent league game against Collinsville (Collinsville, IL)

In their next game, the Maroons clash with the Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 4. Belleville West will attempt to move on its 15-7 season record. The Midgets come into the game with a 21-1 record after their 14-1 non-league win over Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL).
