The Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) softball routed the visiting Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL), 13-3 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Fightin' Irish (17-7) will now prepare for their bout against Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL). The Chargers go into the Metro Suburban bout with a 12-4 record. In their last bout, Aurora Central Catholic notched a victory over Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL), 18-7, in a non-league bout.

The Rebels now possess a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Rosary for a Metro Suburban bout on Thursday, May 5. Ridgewood will confront a Royals squad coming off a 14-1 league loss to Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL). The Royals record now stands at 6-6.
