Kentucky High School Softball - Boyd County bounces South Point

The Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) softball routed the visiting South Point Pointers (South Point, OH), 19-2 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Lions (16-6) will now prepare for their bout against Greenup County (Greenup, KY). The Musketeers go into the non-league bout with a 6-7 record. In their last bout, Greenup County was routed by Raceland (Raceland, KY), 5-4, in a league bout.

The Pointers now possess a 1-10 record. They play next when they host Fairland for a Ohio Valley bout on Friday, May 6. South Point will confront a Dragons squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Gallia Academy (Gallipolis, OH). The Dragons record now stands at 12-10.
