Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Carrboro Jaguars (Carrboro, NC), 14-0 in a league challenge.

The Vipers now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Granville for a Northern Lakes Athletic 2A/3A challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Vance County will face a Vikings squad coming off a 34-0 league win over Granville Central (Stem, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Carrboro falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Durham School of the Arts (Durham, NC) to face the Bulldogs in a Northern Lakes Athletic 2A/3A challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 3-13. Durham School of the Arts won 9-6 in their recent league challenge against Southern Durham (Durham, NC)
