Cherokee Chiefs (Marlton, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Williamstown Braves (Williamstown, NJ), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Chiefs now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they host Cherry Hill West for a Olympic - National challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Cherokee will battle a Lions squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to Camden Catholic (Cherry Hill, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Williamstown falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Clearview (Mullica Hill, NJ) to battle the Pioneers in a Tri-County - Royal challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Clearview won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Timber Creek Regional (Erial, NJ)
