Corydon Central Panthers (Corydon, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Silver Creek Dragons (Sellersburg, IN), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they host Salem for a Mid-Southern challenge on Thursday, May 5. Corydon Central will battle a Lions squad coming off a 8-5 league win over North Harrison (Ramsey, IN). The Lions record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Silver Creek falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Scottsburg (Scottsburg, IN) to battle the Warriors in a Mid-Southern challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 14-2. Scottsburg lost 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Jeffersonville (Jeffersonville, IN)
