In Tuesday's league contest, the Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), by a margin of 12-2.
With the triumph, Sterling moves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Golden Warriors host East Moline United (East Moline, IL) to play the Panthers in a Western Big 6 contest on Monday, May 9. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 7-12. East Moline United lost 13-3 in their recent non-league contest against Sherrard (Sherrard, IL)
In their next game, the Maple Leafs play the Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, May 10. Geneseo will attempt to move on its 12-12 season record.
