Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now sport a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Tabb for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Hickory will face a Tigers squad coming off a 13-2 league win over Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Indian River falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA) to face the Wildcats in a Southeastern challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. Great Bridge lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA)
