Notus Pirates (Notus, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Horseshoe Bend Mustangs (Horseshoe Bend, ID), 20-8 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they host Garden Valley for a 1A Western Idaho challenge on Thursday, May 5. Notus will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 26-4 league loss to Greenleaf Friends Academy (Greenleaf, ID). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Horseshoe Bend falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Wilder (Wilder, ID) to face the Wildcats in a 1A Western Idaho challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-12. Wilder lost 22-3 in their recent league challenge against Notus (Notus, ID)
