North Jackson Chiefs (Stevenson, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Kate Duncan Smith DAR Patriots (Grant, AL), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Chiefs now sport a 24-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madison County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. North Jackson will face a Tigers squad coming off a 14-5 non-league loss to Lincoln County (Fayetteville, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 21-17.

With the loss, Kate Duncan Smith DAR falls to 11-19 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to New Hope (New Hope, AL) to face the Indians in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 3-18. New Hope lost 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Madison County (Gurley, AL)
