Lee County Bobcats (Beattyville, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY), 14-10 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Estill County for a District 56 challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Lee County will face a Engineers squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Owsley County (Booneville, KY). The Engineers record now stands at 13-10.

With the loss, Powell County falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Pirates host Breathitt County (Jackson, KY) to face the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 15-11. Breathitt County lost 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Rowan County (Morehead, KY)
