Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils (Shenandoah, PA), 5-1 in a league challenge.
The now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nativity BVM for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 5. Marian Catholic will battle a Green Wave squad coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Executive Education Academy Charter School (Allentown, PA). The Green Wave record now stands at 6-9.
With the loss, Shenandoah Valley falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Panther Valley (Lansford, PA) to battle the Panthers in a Schuylkill III challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-12. Panther Valley won 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Weatherly (Weatherly, PA)
