Pell City Panthers (Pell City, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oxford Yellow Jackets (Oxford, AL), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 29-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Springville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Pell City will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Plainview (Rainsville, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 22-13.

With the loss, Oxford falls to 7-16 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Southside (Gadsden, AL) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 15-17. Southside lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Springville (Springville, AL)
