Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they host Waterbury Career Academy for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Wednesday, May 4.

With the loss, Oxford falls to 11-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Ansonia (Ansonia, CT) to battle the Chargers in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 4-9. Ansonia lost 19-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Seymour (Seymour, CT)
