St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA), 6-1 in a league challenge.
The Knights now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northern for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 5. St. Mary's Ryken will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 1-0 league win over La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Patriots record now stands at 13-3.
With the loss, St. Paul VI falls to 12-10 on the campaign.
