Tolono Unity Rockets (Tolono, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 18-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Zion for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Tolono Unity will battle a Braves squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Braves record now stands at 16-8.

With the loss, Pontiac falls to 16-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL) to battle the Panthers in a Illini Prairie challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-15. Paxton-Buckley-Loda lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Rantoul (Rantoul, IL)
