Tuscaloosa County Wildcats (Northport, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Thompson Warriors (Alabaster, AL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 18-26 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hoover for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Tuscaloosa County will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to Helena (Helena, AL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 32-11.

With the loss, Thompson falls to 34-8 on the campaign.
