Next, the Mariners confront the Northside - Pinetown Panthers (Pinetown, NC) in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A challenge, on Monday, May 8. East Carteret will attempt to better on its 10-5 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 9-0 league loss to Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC).

The Seahawks now have a 6-10 record. They take the field next when they host Cape Hatteras for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 4. Southside will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC). The Hurricanes record now stands at 2-9.
