Kentucky High School Softball - Adair County knocked off by Russell County

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) softball team overwhelmed the host Adair County Indians (Columbia, KY), by a margin of 9-1.

With the triumph, Russell County moves its record to 6-15 on the year. The Lakers travel to Clinton County (Albany, KY) to play the Bulldogs in a District 16 contest on Thursday, May 4. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 14-8. Clinton County won 13-0 in their recent non-league contest against Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY)

In their next game, the Indians play the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, May 8. Adair County will attempt to move on its 4-15 season record.
