Apponequet Regional Lakers (Lakeville, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lakers now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairhaven for a South Coast challenge on Friday, May 5.

With the loss, New Bedford falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Whalers host Bishop Stang (North Dartmouth, MA) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
