The Bassick Lions softball team scored 20 runs and limited the visiting Whitney RVT Owls to 13 in the Lions non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Bassick improves its record to 3-8 on the year. The Lions host Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league game on Friday, May 5. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 5-9. Kolbe-Cathedral lost 12-0 in their recent league game against Immaculate (Danbury, CT)

In their next game, the Owls clash with the O'Brien RVT Condors (Ansonia, CT) in a Connecticut Tech game, on Monday, May 8. Whitney RVT will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Condors come into the game with a 10-2 record after their 10-3 league win over Wilcox RVT (Meriden, CT).
