Vineland Fighting Clan (Vineland, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cedar Creek Pirates (Egg Harbor City, NJ), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Fighting Clan now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5.
With the loss, Cedar Creek falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Pirates host Hammonton (Hammonton, NJ) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
