Dixon Rams (Dixon, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA), 10-4 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they host Mesa Verde for a Golden Empire League challenge on Monday, May 8. Dixon will battle a Mavericks squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Casa Roble (Orangevale, CA). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, Rio Linda falls to 13-9 on the campaign. The Knights host Mira Loma (Sacramento, CA) to battle the Matadors in a Golden Empire League challenge on Monday, May 8. The Matadors enter the challenge with a record of 0-9. Mira Loma lost 19-0 in their recent league challenge against Pioneer (Woodland, CA)
