The South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) softball held off the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league contest.
With the triumph, South Stokes moves its record to 19-1 on the year. The Sauras host East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to play the Cardinals in a Northwest 1A contest on Thursday, May 4. The Cardinals come into the contest with a record of 20-4. East Wilkes won 9-1 in their recent league contest against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
