Fairborn Skyhawks (Fairborn, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Piqua Indians (Piqua, OH), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Skyhawks now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tippecanoe for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 4.

With the loss, Piqua falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Indians host Troy (Troy, OH) to face the Trojans in a Miami Valley League - Miami challenge on Friday, May 5. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 16-3. Troy lost 18-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Stebbins (Riverside, OH)
