Hancock Eagles (Chicago, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lincoln Park Lions (Chicago, IL), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lane Tech for a Chicago Public Red challenge on Friday, May 5. Hancock will battle a Lane Tech squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Jones (Chicago, IL). The Lane Tech record now stands at 19-3.

With the loss, Lincoln Park falls to 12-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Niles West (Skokie, IL) to battle the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 11-8. Niles West lost 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Evanston (Evanston, IL)
