Holy Spirit Spartans (Absecon, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Pleasantville Greyhounds (Pleasantville, NJ), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oakcrest for a Cape/Atlantic - American 2 challenge on Friday, May 5. Holy Spirit will face a Falcons squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Absegami (Galloway, NJ). The Falcons record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Pleasantville falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Cape May County Tech (Cape May Court House, NJ) to face the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Cape May County Tech lost 6-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Atlantic Christian (Egg Harbor Township, NJ)
