South Western Mustangs (Hanover, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host William Penn Bearcats (York, PA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 15-1 record. They take the field next when they host Central Dauphin East for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. South Western will face a Panthers squad coming off a 16-14 league loss to Palmyra (Palmyra, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 0-10.

With the loss, William Penn falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Northeastern (Manchester, PA) to face the Bobcats in a York-Adams 4 challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 9-5. Northeastern lost 10-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Red Land (Lewisberry, PA)
