The Hibriten Panthers held off the visiting Watauga Pioneers soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Friday's league match.
The Panthers now sport a 15-0 record. They play next when they host Alexander Central for a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Monday, May 6. Hibriten will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 4-0 league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 7-7.
With the defeat, Watauga moves to 13-2 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Freedom (Morganton, NC) to face the Patriots in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest on Monday, May 6. The Patriots enter the contest with a record of 8-9. Freedom won 1-0 in their recent league contest against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)
