The Lord Botetourt Cavaliers routed the visiting William Byrd Terriers softball squad by a count of 11-5 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Cavaliers (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Knights go into the non-league battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Cave Spring nudged Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA), 20-3, in a non-league battle.
The Terriers now sport a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Franklin County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 7. William Byrd will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 16-1.
