In Friday's league test, the host Newburyport Clippers lacrosse squad scored a good 17-1 victory over the North Reading Hornets.
The Clippers now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ipswich for a Cape Ann test on Tuesday, May 7. Newburyport will face a Tigers squad coming off a 17-4 league win over Amesbury (Amesbury, MA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-1.
In their next game, the Hornets face the Lynnfield Pioneers (Lynnfield, MA) in a Cape Ann test, on Tuesday, May 7. North Reading will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record. The Pioneers come into the test with a 7-2 record after their 16-0 league win over Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA).
