Spectators at Friday's league match between the Mohonasen Warriors (Schenectady, NY) and the visiting Albany Academy for Girls Bears (Albany, NY), witnessed Mohonasen's softball squad tip Albany Academy for Girls by a count of 7-5.

The Warriors now sport a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Ichabod Crane for a Section 2 Colonial match on Monday, May 6. Mohonasen will meet a Riders squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Schalmont (Schenectady, NY). The Riders record now stands at 15-0.

With the loss, Albany Academy for Girls moves to 1-8 on the season. The Bears host Cohoes (Cohoes, NY) to meet the Tigers in a Section 2 Colonial match on Monday, May 6. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 6-7. Cohoes won 8-0 in their recent league match against Catholic Central (Troy, NY)
