The Kimberly Papermakers softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Appleton North Lightning to 6 in the Papermakers league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Kimberly moves its record to 9-7 on the year. The Papermakers travel to Fond du Lac (Fond du Lac, WI) to clash with the Cardinals in a Fox Valley Association game on Tuesday, May 7. The Cardinals come into the game with a record of 11-8. Fond du Lac won 2-1 in their recent non-league game against De Pere (De Pere, WI)

In their next game, the Lightning clash with the Freedom Irish (Freedom, WI) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 4. Appleton North will attempt to move on its 4-9 season record. The Irish come into the game with a 14-3 record after their 2-0 league win over Oconto Falls (Oconto Falls, WI).
