The Apponequet Regional Lakers softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host New Bedford Whalers to 0 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Apponequet Regional moves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Lakers travel to Seekonk (Seekonk, MA) to play the Warriors in a South Coast battle on Monday, May 6. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 4-4.

The Whalers now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Durfee for a Big Three - Pilgrim battle on Monday, May 6.
