Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Armstrong Wildcats (Richmond, VA), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hanover for a Capital challenge on Monday, May 6. Varina will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 12-0.

With the loss, Armstrong falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Richmond City School of the Arts (Richmond, VA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-6.
