The Martins Ferry Purple Riders the host Barnesville Shamrocks softball squad by a count of 12-8 in Friday's league battle.

The Purple Riders (18-4) will now prepare for their battle against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH). The Shamrocks go into the Ohio Valley Athletic AAA battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Barnesville nudged Shadyside (Shadyside, OH), 14-2, in a non-league battle.
