Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA), 18-3 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mecklenburg County for a Piedmont challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Tunstall will battle a Phoenix squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Phoenix record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Bassett falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to Halifax County (South Boston, VA) to battle the Comets in a Piedmont challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 14-4.
