The Chilhowie Warriors got by the visiting Rural Retreat Indians softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Friday's league battle.

The Warriors (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Northwood (Saltville, VA). The Panthers go into the Hogoheegee battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Northwood was edged by Holston (Damascus, VA), 12-2, in a league battle.

The Indians now sport a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Patrick Henry for a Hogoheegee battle on Tuesday, May 7. Rural Retreat will meet a Rebels squad coming off a 10-4 league win over Honaker (Honaker, VA). The Rebels record now stands at 13-3.
