The Solvay Bearcats the host Cortland Purple Tigers softball squad by a final score of 6-2 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Bearcats (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Jordan-Elbridge (Jordan, NY). The Eagles go into the Section 3 Liberty 2 battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Jordan-Elbridge nudged Canastota (Canastota, NY), 10-3, in a non-league battle.
