Spectators at Friday's league match between the Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) and the visiting North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR), witnessed Crater's softball squad tip North Eugene by a count of 3-1.

The Comets now sport a 11-7 record. They play next when they host Thurston for a 5A Midwestern match on Tuesday, May 7. Crater will face a Colts squad coming off a 10-8 league win over Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR). The Colts record now stands at 14-7.

With the loss, North Eugene moves to 9-13 on the season. The Highlanders host Churchill (Eugene, OR) to face the Lancers in a 5A Midwestern match on Tuesday, May 14. The Lancers go into the match with a record of 3-17.
