Spectators at Friday's league match between the East Ridge Raptors (Woodbury, MN) and the host Irondale Knights (New Brighton, MN), witnessed East Ridge's softball squad tip Irondale by a count of 4-1.

The Raptors now sport a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Centennial for a non-league match on Saturday, May 4. East Ridge will face a Cougars squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Irondale moves to 0-15 on the season. The Knights travel to Stillwater (Stillwater, MN) to encounter the Ponies in a Suburban East test on Monday, May 6. The Ponies enter the test with a record of 12-5. Stillwater lost 7-1 in their recent league test against Forest Lake (Forest Lake, MN)
