The Glenvar Highlanders softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Radford Bobcats to 5 in the Highlanders league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Glenvar improves its record to 9-7 on the year. The Highlanders travel to Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to clash with the Buffaloes in a Three Rivers game on Tuesday, May 7. The Buffaloes come into the game with a record of 7-8. Floyd County lost 12-2 in their recent league game against Carroll County (Hillsville, VA)

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 6. Radford will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the game with a 12-3 record after their 16-3 non-league win over Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA).
