The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Hermitage Hermits (Hermitage, AR) and the host Mineral Springs Hornets (Mineral Springs, AR), saw Hermitage's softball squad nip Mineral Springs by a count of 9-7.
The Hermits now sport a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Bradley for a non-league match on Saturday, May 4. Hermitage will face a Bears squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Kirby (Kirby, AR). The Bears record now stands at 17-6.
With the loss, Mineral Springs falls to 6-5 on the campaign.
