The Palatine Pirates the visiting Hoffman Estates Hawks softball squad by a count of 9-6 in Friday's league battle.

The Pirates (15-12) will now prepare for their battle against Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL). The Ramblers go into the non-league battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Loyola Academy was routed by Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL), 14-3, in a league battle.

The Hawks now sport a 2-19 record. They play next when they travel to Barrington for a Mid-Suburban West battle on Monday, May 6. Hoffman Estates will meet a Fillies/Broncos squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Leyden (Franklin Park, IL). The Fillies/Broncos record now stands at 21-3.
